Alongside now has UK and US offices. Our UK company, Alongside Solutions Limited, was incorporated on 2 September 2026 together with our partner 4pointzero. Our US company, Alongside US LLC, was set up in Delaware on 8 July 2026. Porto stays our headquarters.
Where are the Alongside UK and US offices?
Our headquarters is in Porto, Portugal. We have development hubs in India and Vietnam. The United Kingdom and the United States now join that list, and you can see all of them on the global presence card on our homepage.
For us, an office is first of all a local company, people to talk to and a time zone that matches our clients. We opened these two to be closer to our clients in the UK and North America.
Who is our UK partner?
We set up Alongside Solutions Limited with 4pointzero. They are a UK team of independent finance and technology professionals who help businesses choose, implement and improve their financial software. They know the UK finance and accountancy world well. We build software.
The idea is simple. Accountancy and finance firms often need software that fits the way they work, or integrations between the systems they already use. 4pointzero works with those firms every day. Alongside builds the software. The company was incorporated on 2 September 2026 and is registered at Companies House.
What does the US company do?
Alongside US LLC is a sales arm. It gives us a US company to work through and a way to be closer to clients in North America. The engineering stays with our existing teams.
It is the same in the UK. The offices are there to sell and to be close to clients. The engineering is still done by the engineers our clients already know.
What have we done so far?
- 8 July 2026: Alongside US LLC was set up in Delaware.
- 2 September 2026: Alongside Solutions Limited was incorporated in the UK.
- 17 to 28 September 2026: we were in the United States, meeting clients and partners.
- 7 and 8 October 2026: we were in London at the Digital Accountancy Show, together with 4pointzero.
None of this is finished. We have a company on each side of the Atlantic and a first round of meetings behind us. The real work is what comes next, and we will tell you about it as it happens.
Does anything change for existing clients?
No. It is still one Alongside, with the same standards and the same engineers, not a set of separate national businesses. If you already work with us from Portugal or anywhere else, your team stays your team. If you are in the UK or the US, you now have a company closer to home to start the conversation with.
